Received these in the post from my good paranormalist mate Allen Tiller, over in Australia.
It’s brilliant and a book I’ve been wanting to get for a while now. This is a new and revised version of his previous release in 2014; freshened up with a re write and including many additions including extra historical facts, footnotes and most importantly, more ghost stories!
I’m halfway in and really enjoying it. It’s well researched and well written.
Allen’s obvious love of history, his country, culture, the paranormal and his natural born story-telling skills are all evident here. I’ve been to Australia many times but haven’t yet been to Adelaide or around that region, although it’s been on my list for decades. I’ve heard so much about it and this book has frustratingly fuelled my desire to head over to spend time investigating, even more (Covid lock-downs pending of course!)
With the included copy of his popular Ghosts of the Port booklet, featuring maps, historical details and a heap of locations to go visit, I’m foreseeing a very tight itinerary when I get over there.
Thanks Allen, I look forward to hanging out again with you hopefully in the new year.
The Haunts of Adelaide: History, Mystery and the Paranormal & Ghosts of the Port, both by Allen Tiller. Totally recommended reading! – Mark
