Another fantastic, fun-filled paranormal weekend road trip away with the spooky family. Yesterday we headed back out west to Whatipu again. This time, to spend another day and night exploring the caves and coastline, as well as staying another investigative night in the Gibbons Homestead, an intriguing location the team has so far spent 3 nights investigating. Some ‘hhhhm’ moments there too, which is always a good thing.
Joining us for the adventure was our good mate Ian, another fellow paranormalist who goes by the name Bristoliankiwi. Ex UK/long time now, kiwi. We’ll be working together more in the future, for sure.
This also marks our 8th visit to explore and document this West Auckland region and its history. An intriguing and mysterious part of the North Island’s West Coast that has us returning time and time again. It’s beautiful, yet dark, with much tragedy in its past.
We explored caves and landscapes, visited the graves of a few of those who died in the Orpheus disaster, did some weed pulling at said graves, fed chickens and giant eels, took a few fun selfies, ate like royalty, played pool, the banter rolled, and the conversations were “interesting”.
After breakfast in Titirangi, we did a little random stop-off at a team fav’ for a quick further explore of the old Carrington Hospital.
Can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend than to be out in the elements with great friends, sharing an adventure like this.
