I do like to spend time sitting around and exploring ancient churches and cemeteries. The older the better.
Here in Scotland, any like-minded locals are pretty much spoilt for choice when it comes to ancient buildings. This one, is the oldest church in Kirkcaldy; dating back to 1244!
In 1828, a tragedy occurred, when the church gallery collapsed during a very full service, killing 28 people and injuring a further 150 more. Since that day there have been many reports of mysterious wandering figures, in the church around the headstones….and check out those freaky trees! – Mark
