Wow, what an amazing night we had helping out at the Lake House Art Centre’s Halloween event!
So many people! I think they stopped counting around 420 or something. So many fantastic costumes and so many little people (possibly on sugar highs) laughing, dancing, and confronting their fears by going up and interacting with the life-sized creepy animatronic characters we set up around the building. Sam, Natasha, and I did a well-received talk in one of the bigger rooms. It was wonderful hearing so many intelligent questions from so many genuinely interested people, of all ages. Thanks to all our new friends, that cornered us later for further questioning and to tell us of their own experiences. We also got to judge the costume competition, which was honestly quite difficult as there were so many.
Thank you to Grae and the wonderful Lake House management and staff at the Art Centre for inviting us and for giving the team ongoing unlimited access to carry on with our research there. Fantastic people, behind this historic stunner of a locale!
Here are a bunch of photos taken by us last night.
