The team headed back to the Lake House Art Centre for another overnight session. It started at 7 p.m., and we left around 8 a.m.
We were supposed to have a public event last night, but it had to be postponed to a later date. However, the team was all geared up and eager to investigate, so we figured a night at the Lake House instead might be a pretty good substitute.
It was a relatively quiet night. A light drizzle outside, and the temperatures remained steady considering the weather. We enjoy these sessions at our ongoing research locations, as we have no time constraints and can just investigate at leisure and take our time with things. Makes for a more fun and relaxed night. It gives the team a chance to get to know each other better, catch up, have a laugh (gotta have a sense of humour in this field!), as well as allowing us to discuss ideas, theories and thoughts openly amongst ourselves.
We did have one moment, when the team were all upstairs doing a ”calling out” session. During this, both Bella and Bron, who were sitting on the stairs, reacted to seeing a shadow move to their left, through the railings, upstairs. They both saw the same shadow move and both described it the same. Typically, with the Lake House, it was again a short shadow. Sightings of child-sized shadows seem to be a regular occurrence at the Lake House. We’ve seen them numerous times. As have guest researchers who have joined us for sessions there in the past.
We also took an interesting photo, which appeared to show a tall figure in the small, end-of-hallway bathroom with a small (again) ”child” sitting beside it. Team members have seen this tall, dark figure standing there numerous times. This time, there was a second ”person” in the picture. We tried to replicate the photo, with all team members trying to take photos from the same angles in the same lighting. However, we couldn’t recreate the effect. Even though the photo is dark, grainy and taken in very low lighting, the ”heads” of the ”figures” were quite defined. It could very well just be pareidolia caused by the cameras struggling in low lighting. But we found it interesting, and it certainly had us thinking.
A great fun night. Lots of laughs and much to think about.
Here is a selection of random photos taken by us during the night. Enjoy!
