Category: Abandoned Buildings
From time to time, often with the permission of the owners or trustees, we gain access to abandoned or derelict properties to photographically document the interior and exterior. Sometimes we stumble upon an abandoned structure, sitting lonely and unloved, so we stop to take photographs so that these charming pieces of New Zealand history can be documented as existing, and appreciated by others. The team’s photographs have been used in the past as evidence in insurance cases, Fire Service investigations and for news media coverage.
NOTE: These photos are documents of the existence of various historical (and some non historical) locations.
We are not implying that these locations are haunted, (Some may very well be, but we havent yet had any reports) but present them here for the enjoyment of others.
IMPORTANT: We do not condone or encourage the breaking in and entering of secure buildings. Please respect the locations and the owners. Do not cause damage or steal from locations. Please be safe and act in a responsible and respectful manner. ”Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints”.
Also note; we do not give out location addresses as it can attract those with ill intent. thieves, vandals, squatters, arsonists etc… Please dont ask.
