Books by Rex Gilroy. Recommended reading on Yowie Research

DSC06290Just finished making my way through three epic reads by one of my fav Australasian cryptozoologists, the original ‘grandfather of Yowie research’, Rex Gilroy. Fascinating info for anyone into the elusive yowie or other Australian based mystery creatures.

I bought ‘The Yowie Mystery: Living fossils from the Dreamtime’ and ‘Out of the Dreamtime – The search for Australasia’s Unknown Animals’, when I met up with Rex and his wife and research partner, Heather at the 2014 Paranormal convention. Grabbed his latest mega release ‘Hairy Man of the Blue Mountains Wilderness – A History of Yowie encounters from 1820 to the present’, at this year’s Paracon.

They’re all huge and informative reads with hundreds of pictures complied and great descriptive detail into the intense research and investigation involved in such a mission. Almost 60 years of field research, in fact! There’s some very thought provoking theories there too. Highly recommended to anyone with an open mind and a lust for old school crypto field research.
